Waste gets
thorough treatment at
Addenbrooke's Hospital
Addenbrooke’s is a prestigious, 3 star NHS Trust based in Cambridge with over 1060 beds and 6000 staff. The hospital produces a huge amount of waste, including 1400 tonnes of clinical waste a year, which is incinerated on site, it also handles waste from other facilities via their transfer station and to it’s incinerator.
Addenbrooke’s clinical waste team use Isys’ MEDIWASTE software to manage this huge volume effectively and efficiently.
Safe and measured waste disposal is necessary to ensure worker safety and patient health, maximise operational economics and enhance system operations.
